Testimonials

I sold my horse in September 2019, and I have to say I would have not been able to sell him by myself. I mean, for sure, for just someone – yes – but to find a perfect person and perfect home for the horse I loved, that is something I was only able to achieve with all the help and dedication of Leigh Casaceli. I cannot stress enough how much care and devotion Leigh put into the sale process to find a perfect match for my horse. Training, showing, conditioning – she did it all keeping in mind my horse’s best interest and my financial situation. As much as selling a horse is a stressful experience, Leigh really focused on keeping me informed and finding new opportunities for my horse to show how amazing he was. And when it was time to let go of my horse, I felt so blissful and calm knowing he was getting a new loving home. Cannot recommend Leigh enough.

I started riding with Karen five years ago and cannot express how wonderful she is and how my horse thrived under her training and care. Her coaching style is always positive and encouraging, and she carefully tailors each rider’s experience to his or her specific needs and goals. I’m a very timid rider, and Karen goes above and beyond to help me feel safe and confident. My husband is a more confident rider looking to move up the levels, and Karen helped him progress rapidly. When I relocated to the West Coast, I left my precious horse in her care for three years only because I couldn’t bear to leave her program. She turned my retired jumper into a third-level dressage horse, all the while ensuring that the training was fun and interesting for him, and keeping him sound, happy, healthy, and fit! I feel that she truly loves and cares for my horse as much as she does her own horse.

I have been riding with Karen for four years and can’t say enough about her as an instructor, trainer and a friend. Karen is always positive and encouraging and fun in her lessons and I always come away feeling like I have accomplished something. Karen is a beautiful, gentle and calm rider and she always makes the horses look easy to ride! My horse absolutely loves her. She treats each horse that she rides with respect and cares for them as if they were her own. I am so excited to be moving to Frosted Moon Farm with Karen. It is a beautiful facility with a great group of people and the care of the horses will be top notch.

I’m an adult returning to riding and I feel so fortunate to have found Karen! When we started working with her 3 years ago, my horse was pretty green under saddle and we were both brand new to eventing. We had a lot of work to do, and Karen has always been able to give me honest and thorough feedback while still keeping it positive and fun. I enjoy competing, and Karen has helped me at various events, both riding my horse and coaching me, depending on our needs at the time. I especially appreciate that, rather than simply fixing problems for me, she gives me the skills that I need to be independent and fix things myself. I’m now confidently able to bring my horse to USEA recognized events, which is a big change from when we started! I’m so excited to continue training with Karen and move to Frosted Moon Farm!

Karen is an excellent teacher, trainer and horsewoman who dedicates herself to the well being of her students and their horses. Her knowledge of dressage and the training of young horses allows her to instill a great foundation from which to build on. My daughter and I learned so much from her and gained confidence from Karen’s positive approach.

I have been riding with Karen for 5 years and I can’t say enough good things about her! She’s super positive and I always leave my lesson feeling like a million bucks! Everything she says just makes sense. I’ve had more “light bulb” moments with her, than any of my previous trainers combined. I was a working student for her in Aiken South Carolina for 2 weeks and she is a great boss! She is fun to work with and fun to learn from. She caters to each rider, and understands that everyone is different. I feel so lucky to have her in my life!

After receiving a recommendation from friends who have horses in Bolton, My 9 year old daughter takes Riding lessons from Karen Lorenzo at Frosted Moon. I’ve found her to be Professional and Exceptional in every way. She is a parent herself and knows how to work with children.
The Barn is spotless the Horses are well taken care of and the indoor and outdoor facilities are perfect to learn myriad of riding skills in all weather conditions. I’m happy to report She didn’t just lead my daughter to the horse and start riding they pick up, groom, and tack the horse before every lesson as well as untack groom and put him away at the end.
Recently during a lesson the horse was spooked, (as happens), my daughter was nearly thrown. Karen handled the emergency without a hitch, as expected like a veteran. Pointing out how well my daughter handled the situation by remaining calm and doing as she was taught to remain safe. I feel very comfortable with My children at Frosted Moon Farm working someone as experienced as Karen Lorenzo and Highly recommend her for all ages I may just start riding again myself one day.

I have been riding with Karen for 15 years. I met her schooling at Pembury House years ago and was so excited to learn that she taught at a farm very close to me.

Karen is an excellent instructor, a talented rider and good friend. She has helped me train my initially difficult OTTB into a lovely event horse. She’s positive, patient and kind. She takes impeccable care of her horses and goes the extra mile for her clients. I highly recommend riding, boarding and training with Karen. Her horsemanship is top notch!
